TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should factor into how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you commit.
